New Avenues

NewAvenues training workshops and programs are created as state of the art training for people with disabilities in India to help them lead an independent, productive, and fulfilling life.

The objective of this program is to give individuals the skill set necessary to gain employment based on training attained through this program. These programs are intended to encourage people with disabilities to join a mainstream life and be a contributor in society.

NewAvenues is designed to assist individuals living in rural areas. These programs will provide solutions to the barriers people with disabilities have by providing transportation and lodging while the person is obtaining their training. Selected candidates from different geographic areas will be assigned to one program center. Candidates selected for this program will be paid transportation, lodging and boarding cost for duration (one to three months) at the training site.

Subject to the size and nature of training, this program will be made available through a reputed institution or training center. Depending on their educational background and abilities, the selected candidates will be placed in one of the following programs.

A pilot program will be started in Hyderabad, Aurangabad and Mumbai and will be later expanded to other cities and areas in India.

Ray of Hope Training Program:

Similar to NewAvenues program, Ray of Hope training program will only be offered to female candidates. Financial assistance to set up or start a small business will be considered for deserving cases at the end of training program. Ray of Hope training program will be offered to individuals living in and around a city, candidates selected will have to make their own transportation, lodging and boarding arrangements. HelpHandicap Foundation will reimburse the cost of these expenses.
