Our mission is to integrate people with disabilities into mainstream living, to help them become self supporting and independent, and help them to lead an undiminished and accomplished life.

Cause
Founded in May 2001, EquallyAble Foundation’s (formerly HelpHandicap Foundation) mission is to integrate people with disabilities into mainstream living, to help them become self sup porting and independent, and enable them to lead an undiminished and accomplished life in India. And to work on disability inclusion and awareness in the USA.
Goals
Following are the goals of HelpHandicap Foundation (HHF):
• Assist people withmobility, hearing and vision impairments by providing motorized scooters, three-wheelers, crutches, braces, hearing aides and walking sticks etc.
• Provide financial assistance to undertake education at various levels from primary schooling to state of the art training in computers and new technologies
• Provide financial assistance to establish small businesses pursuant to the qualification and capabilties of deserving individuals
• Identifying career alternatives and choices
• Conduct medical camps in India from the subject matter experts in the areas of mobility, hearing and vision impairments
Process
HHF forms alliances with like minded organizations in different parts of India referred to as Evaluation and Administering Authority (EAA). All EAAs besides being reputable and highly successful organization(s), must possess Reserve Bank of India’s permit to receive foreign funds, also know as FCRA. EAA carries out thorough verification about applications received at HHF or at EAA before help is provided. To avoid misuse of funds, financial assistance if approved, is made available to the institution, healthcare/equipment provider, or vendor; no personal checks are issued. People with mobility, vision and hearing impairments with lower income are eligible.
